Fingerface

The idea of this one came from a dream, which is a highly usual source for me, artistically. Basically, I had this image of a face with fingers coming up out of the forehead and it just stuck with me. I didn't quite capture the photorealistic detail I saw (and still see) but I'm hoping to get that someday when my talent progresses. The background images all are kind of random. The dream fingerface was very definitely against a stark white glowing background, but I didn't like that much. So I picked some random stuff that could have a lot of deep hidden meaning, just to give it that surreal dream feeling. Armchair shrinks and lit-crit fiends can feel free to instill whatever meaning they want, but show support and cite your sources.

Oh, and if anyone knows where my dreams stole the general idea of fingers coming out of a head, please tell me. People in my art class said it looked familiar and I want to know.
